Standing up FOR Public Safety!

Honored to be Endorsed by Firefighters

I am honored to be endorsed by the Spokane Valley Firefighters, Local 876 and Spokane County District 8 Firefighters & Paramedics IAFF Local 3711! Public safety is my #1 priority and that includes our firefighters, who are so often the first responders to medical issues as well as fires.

Victory in the Primary-Now on to the General Election

Thank you to the voters of the new County Commissioner District 4 for trusting me with your vote and support in the Primary. With your help we won with 54% of the vote over my two opponents! There is still a lot of work to do for the General Election in November, however rest assured I will continue to work hard for you!

Endorsed by Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich!

"Mary Kuney's commitment to public safety is unquestionable. She is dedicated to finding ways to ensure the Sheriff's Office has the resources we need to keep you safe. Mary Kuney is the only person in this race I trust when it comes to protecting our community."  Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich

Endorsed by Washington State Farm Bureau

I am honored to have been endorsed by the Washington State Farm Bureau PAC! They have recognized my support of issues vital to Washington agriculture. I look forward to continuing to lead on these issues as your Spokane County Commissioner.

Kicking off my 2022 re-election campaign!

I am running once again in 2022 to represent you as County Commissioner. You may be thinking I was just elected in 2020 for a four year term, so why am I running again in 2022? The Legislature determined that Spokane County must change to five Commissioners, which requires that I run again this year. However, this time (finally!) it will be a four year term. I hope to see everyone at my kick-off event!

I support Mary for County Commissioner

I support Mary Kuney for Spokane County Commissioner as I adamantly believe she is the BEST candidate for the job. Mary is a leader with integrity, an exceptional listener, a strong advocate for taxpayer's interests and an overwhelming commitment to public safety. Spokane County is fortunate to have a person of Mary's caliber and sound financial expertise to represent them.

Kicking Off My 2020 Re-Election Campaign!

I know what you're thinking: "Mary is running for County Commissioner again already??" Yes, I am!

Thanks to the overwhelming support of the community, I was appointed County Commissioner in 2017 to take Shelly O'Quinn's seat on the Commission. I then had to run in 2018 to retain my seat and thanks to the citizens of Spokane County, I won with over 60% of the vote! However, winning in 2018 just meant finishing Shelly's original term from when she was elected in 2016, and sadly did not give me a new four-year term. So, I am officially announcing that I am running in 2020 for re-election as County Commissioner.

Swearing in Ceremony

Thank you everyone for all your support that made this happen! And a special thank you to Spokane County Clerk Tim Fitzgerald for swearing me in!

This has been a great adventure for the last year and a half working through the appointment process and running to retain my position. I am honored to have the support of Spokane County citizens and will continue to work hard on your behalf!
